Tauranga Samba Workshops
How do I join Tauranga Samba?
To join Tauranga Samba, you will need to attend the 9.30 to 11am absolute beginners workshops every Saturday.
Do I need musical experience
No previous music experience is required. Many people think they have no rhythm, however most people may be surprised to find that they DO have a lot of rhythm. Tauranga Samba helps people discover that they do have rhythm and can enjoy the very rewarding experience of playing in a band.
What would instruments would I play?
At the moment, positions are available in Caixa, Tamborims, Agogo, and shakers.
What do I bring?
Gold Coin donation - This is a donation, and if you cant afford it, then thats fine. However, if you can afford $2 then we suggest thet you please pay that. It'll be the most fun you'll be able to buy for $2 anywhere.
Ear protection - This is a must. You can pick up ear protection from any hardware store. Either the ear muff types, or foam types will do fine.
